I tried to explain to them how it fails under heavy load but just got parrots repeating that it passes the test. The original oem battery in my 03 325 is finally getting weak and takes a few extra seconds of cranking to start and the dead battery warning light came on. Went back to Walmart to try to get them to honor it again and because there stupid machine says its good they can't honor the warranty. Sure enough I install old battery it barely starts my car even after charging it. So I bought a replacement and kept the old one because I didn't trust them. Tried to do a warranty claim but because the battery passes there test they won't honor it. As of October 31st new battery replacement shows 80 charge at 12.5volts vs. I tried this morning to crank the car and the battery is dead again. It cranked the car just fine, so I figured my problem was the battery. I removed the battery and got a ride to nearest Walmart. I have a another 2-3 year old EverStart 27DC-6 115amp deep cycle battery. I just bought this new battery (an Interstate brand not a cheap Wal-Mart brand either) not two weeks ago to replace my old one, which I figured was bad, due to age. I drove it to HEB and when I went to leave it didn't have enough power to start the car. I checked cables, test voltage with alternator, and even cleaned battery post when it first showed symptoms. Well this past week my car has struggled to start. I bought one of the Everstart ones with a 5 year warranty (3 years free replacement, 2 years prorated). ![]() So in May of 2019 my car battery died in a small town outside of Houston.the closest place with a battery was Walmart. ![]()
